How long does an eye exam take?

An eye examination can vary in length of time taken. Sometimes it can be completed in 15 minutes and often times it takes up to an hour. It all depends on many factors, such as your age, symptoms you may have, family history, medical conditions, whether you wear contact lenses, whether you have an eye disease, if you are choosing new glasses, and more. In some cases additional testing is required and you may need to return to our office to have this done.

Also, an emergency may arise which can put the Dr. Venn or Dr. Hannington behind schedule. We do our best to stay on schedule so as not to inconvenience our patients, but sometimes these situations are outside of our control.
