Our fees are based on the thoroughness and time that we take to evaluate all aspects of your vision and eye health, including how each patient uses their eyes (sports, computer, hobbies, etc.), and a complete medical and family history. Currently, the fee for a typical examination is $129. This fee includes retinal photography and Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) . (Most offices charge an additional $40-70 for retinal photography.)
There may be other costs, depending on what is found during the course of your visit and what services are necessary to address your complaints and your eye care needs. For example, contact lens wearers needing their lenses evaluated, and patients requiring visual field testing may have to pay extra fees for those services.
Yes, you can find cheaper exam fees but they may not take the time it takes to really evaluate your exact needs.
